Start with an image. Give it motion.
Image-to-video generation uses a still image as the start of a clip. In Thague, add a start image to Video's Generate workflow or use Animate this on an image result. The model list then offers compatible image-to-video models rather than text-only choices.

Prepare the first frame
Choose an image with a clear subject and enough surrounding space for the movement you want. If the starting composition is too tight, you can first use Expand in Edit. Fix important visual problems before animation: motion can make a distorted edge or unclear object more noticeable.
Ask for movement that fits the image
Describe the motion rather than re-describing every visible detail. A breeze moving fabric, steam rising or a slow camera move can be easier to assess than a large transformation. Say which elements should remain fixed. The start image is guidance, not a promise that the subject's appearance will remain identical in every frame.
Check the whole clip
Compare the opening frame with the source and watch through to the end. Look for changes in shape, background drift and objects appearing unexpectedly. If the action is too strong, simplify the motion instruction or choose a different compatible model. Download results you want to retain; the Library belongs to the browser you used.
How to use it in Thague
- Choose Animate this on an image, or add a start image in Studio → Video.
- Choose Generate and one of the compatible image-to-video models.
- Describe subject and camera motion, then select the supported clip settings.
- Check the credit estimate, generate and compare the clip with the source.
Example motion instruction
Animate only the steam above the cup and a slight movement of the curtain. Slow camera push-in. Keep the cup, table and room layout stable.
What to check before sharing
Image-to-video may change identity, proportions or scene details as the clip progresses. It is not the same as animating separate editable layers. Use references you have permission to use and review before sharing.
Questions
Can I animate an image made in Thague?
Yes. Use Animate this on an image result or choose an image from the Library as a start image for video generation.
Why does the model list change after I add an image?
With a start image attached, Thague offers image-to-video-compatible models. Text-only video models are not suitable for that input.
