Edit an image with a clear instruction

Thague's Edit tab brings eight image tools together: Edit, Combine, Style, Upscale, Background, Expand, Angle and Layers. Start with an uploaded image or a result from your Library, then choose the tool for the change you need.

Describe the change and what must stay

For instruction-based edits, specify both the desired change and the elements you want to preserve. For example, change the wall colour while keeping the subject's clothes, face and position. Keep each revision focused. If an edit changes too much, return to the original and narrow your instruction rather than repeatedly editing an increasingly altered result.

Use the dedicated tool when it fits

Background is intended for removing a background or keeping a named subject. Expand adds space around an image, while Upscale increases its resolution. Style applies a preset look with an optional instruction. Angle re-renders a different camera angle, and Layers splits the image into layers. These are different operations, not interchangeable quality fixes.

Combine references thoughtfully

Combine uses multiple images to guide a new result. Explain which image supplies the subject, which supplies the setting and what should connect them. The supported number of input images depends on the model. Inspect the finished image for differences in perspective, lighting, identity and proportions.

How to use it in Thague

  1. Open Studio → Edit and upload an image or select From library.
  2. Pick one of the eight tools rather than putting every change into one prompt.
  3. Choose the available model and settings, and add a focused instruction when needed.
  4. Check the credit estimate, run the edit and compare it with the original.

Example edit instruction

Replace the grey wall with a warm off-white wall. Keep the chair's shape, fabric, position and the existing floor unchanged. Match the original direction of light.

What to check before sharing

Generative edits may alter details you asked to preserve. They are not a guarantee of exact identity, product accuracy or pixel-level consistency. Compare important areas with the source before publishing.
